They specialise in vertically integrated solutions from semiconductors, to IMAs/MFAs, to subsystems and equipment-level solutions, working on exciting and highly complex programmes spanning electronic warfare, military communications, radar, aerospace, and commercial wireless and telecom solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Development Technician who will oversee the production of goods onsite and ensure that the manufacturing processes are efficient and to the quality level expected by our customers in accordance with H&S standards.  The successful candidate will have a high level of attention to detail and can optimize production processes for maximum efficiency.

As Manufacturing Development Technician, you will

  • Ensure all processes and equipment are up to date and maintained with detailed operating documentation, servicing, and maintenance of key equipment
  • Identify new equipment to fulfil manufacturing requirements
  • Transfer equipment/ product/ processes from other facilities
  • Carry out process experimentation
  • Produce process documentation
  • Produce design guidelines for equipment
  • Provide training on use of new equipment and processes
  • Ability to explain complex issues to non-specialists, and to gain acceptance of optimum solutions through sound arguments and intellectual reasoning.

About you

You will ideally have the relevant technical qualification with four or more years’ experience or a certificate in mechanical engineering. You will also have knowledge of microelectronic manufacturing processes and an understanding of RF and microwave products and technology.

You will have a good level of IT literacy and experience in using statistical software packages. Experience of using CAD software would also be advantageous. The successful candidate will have excellent planning and organisational skills. You will also have good written skills and the ability to communicate cohesively with all levels within the organisation and externally. You will enjoy working as part of a team and have an enthusiastic approach to work.
