An experienced Logistics Co-ordinator / Logistics Support Officer is required to join an Automotive Tier 1 supplier for a 6 month contract period.
To liaise with customers to ensure accurate scheduling information regarding build and forecasted demand is received. To be the first point of contact for customers and to ensure the continuity of supply and communication.
Specific Skills & Experience you need:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (advanced)
- SAP experience within Logistics environment
- MAFACT processes and principals (internal training)
- Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative, and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the company.
- Good analytical skills.
- Experience in production planning and scheduling.
- Experience within a logistics environment ( Automotive)

Vacancy: Logistics Support
(This position will be a Secondment/Fixed Term contract for a period of 6 months)

Hours / Shift: Day Shift
Reporting to: MP&L Manager
Main purpose and scope of job:
To liaise with customers to ensure accurate scheduling information regarding build and forecasted demand is received. To be the first point of contact for customers and to ensure the continuity of supply and communication.

Responsible for: Safety, Quality, Timing, Cost, Motivation
Main duties:
Safety, Environmental Responsibilities:
- Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
- Comply with IATF 16949.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
- Comply with the General Risk Assessments.
- Comply with the Manual Handling Risk Assessments.
- Comply with COSHH Risk Assessments.
- Report accidents and near misses.
- Comply with the Safe System of Work documents.
- Take appropriate actions in emergency situations.
- Adhere to 5S processes and procedures.
- To ensure all team members wear appropriate PPE.
Quality
- Participate in internal and external quality focus within area of responsibility.
- Participate in 8D's, problem solving and risk management.
Timing
- Analyse customer schedules on a daily basis and plan accordingly.
- To monitor plan versus actual and report out in daily SQTCM meeting.
- Working within the MAFACT system (internal training).
- Manage and communicate with customers.
- Use the escalation procedure for any issues/concerns e.g. Quality/downtime.
- Manage transport requirements including special transport.
- Ensure continuous supply and return of customer packaging when required.
- Manage customer portals where required.
Cost
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, equipment modifications, plant, error proofing, technical systems and processes and cost down opportunities.
- Participate in projects within the companies CIP scheme.
Motivation

- Participate in training and development programmes and share knowledge with the wider teams.
