Learning & Development Co-ordinator

Manufacturing environment

Ledbury

With a passion for Learning and Development and a confidence to own the training function within the HR department, this role requires a confident and self-motivated individual who would thrive on designing, developing and delivering the training for the whole site. This is a global organisation, with manufacturing sites across the world. The offer excellent career progression through training and promotions.

Working closely with and supporting the HR Manager, you will have experience of working at HR Officer level with previous experience in training, Learning and Development. 

Key duties and responsibilities will include as the Learning and Development Coordinator:

  • Providing a training and development support function to all operational departments (shop floor and office personnel)
  • Providing training and development to ensure that all Line Managers have an understanding of employment law
  • Producing training materials
  • Evaluating all training and development on site - amending as necessary to adapt to changing needs to departments
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date training records
  • Supporting Quality with audits
  • Managing the recruitment process for all office and shop floor personnel
  • Supporting the HR Manager with the day to day running of the HR department
  • Supporting on Payroll
  • Supporting on HR initiatives and projects
  • Providing cover for the HR Manager and team during holidays and sickness


Skills and Experience required for the learning and Development Co-ordinator:

  • Proven ability to design, develop and deliver training courses
  • Previous HR experience ideally at HR Officer level
  • Exceptional communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent IT and organisational skills
  • A confidence to work with, support and advise Line Managers
  • Previous experience working with shop floor workers (preferred)
