Our client, a leading manufacturer of aerospace components and assemblies based in Essex, is seeking a Lead Quality Inspector on a contract basis.
The Lead Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products conform to design, customer ans AS9100 requirements.
Key Responsibilities for the Lead Quality Inspector will include:
- Application of the company's Quality Management System
- Conducting and maintaining all risk assessment within the cell
- Comprehensive completion and traceability of inspection records
- Creating and compiling FAIRs
- Supporting root cause analysis, problem solving, containment and corrective actions
- Supporting production with the timely verification of batch first-offs and the introduction of approved operator processes
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances
- Maintaining 6S requirements to ensure business targets are maintained and improvement plans exist where required
Key Skills and Qualifications required for the Lead Quality Inspector:
- Experience of inspecting precision components, including CMM operation and programming techniques
- Aerospace industry experience essential
- Experience of dealing with external customers and suppliers
- Understanding and working knowledge of 6S principles and objectives
- ONC/HNC in Engineering or equivalent
