Ergonomics Lead Engineer - EV - Coventry - £ Exceptional DOE & benefits

As an Ergonomics Lead Engineer, you will deliver world class ergonomics & usability attributes for highly innovative and ground-breaking range of products. You will be responsible for delivering world class Usability, Ergonomics and Human Factors science in design for highly innovative and ground-breaking range of products.

As Ergonomics Lead Engineer you will be involved in all engineering phases - from advanced engineering to concept generation, detailed development and industrialization.

As Ergonomics Lead Engineer - you will be required to

  • Ergonomics Target setting and issue management during the duration of the project
  • Analyse Vehicle Attribute Profile and benchmarks for Ergonomics and Flexibility
  • Competitor vehicle analysis, performing feature evaluations, CAD benchmarking and setting feature targets for various on-going projects across multiple programs.
  • Responsible for ergonomic subjective evaluations on the built vehicles/seating bucks.
  • Apply CAD modelling or quantitative analysis to forecast events, such as human decisions or behaviours
  • Develop relevant CAD proposals, methods, plans, reports and reviews of Ergonomics and Human Factors
  • Creating and maintaining geometric targets and keep out zones in Catia V5
  • Be responsible for creating & documenting vehicle package & ergonomics design guidelines
  • Creation, modification, management & delivery of ergonomics & design physical buck

As Ergonomics Lead Engineer you will have

  • Degree qualified with relevant experience, being an expert in your field with in-depth knowledge relating to Ergonomics and Human Machine Interface for automotive and consumer brands.
  • Proven track record of applying Ergonomics and Human Factors approaches and solutions to design development in and/or for industry
  • Can identify and rectify ergonomic needs and problems virtually & physically.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics standards for different markets.
  • Proficient in operating CATIA V5, TeamCenter, CAVA, Ramsis or Delmia.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle architecture analysis.
