Lead Engineer – Functional Safety, System and Software Quality – Midlands - £ Competitive + Excellent benefits
A Lead Engineer is required for a flourishing department working in the field of passenger and commercial vehicles. As the successful candidate you will lead the strategic development and implementation of World Class Functional Safety, System & Software Quality processes, systems, tools & techniques.
As Lead Engineer – Functional Safety, System and Software Quality – you will be required to
Lead the deployment, development & continuous improvement of the Functional Safety process to ensure future compliance with ISO26262
Formulate & drive best practice systems engineering approach and its value chain for electrical, electronic, software & integrated systems, based on global industry benchmarking, internal gap analysis, risk & opportunity evaluation
Drive the best practice in the Requirements Management of electrical, electronic, software & integrated systems
Drive the best practice approach & deployment of DFMEA for electrical, electronic, software & integrated systems
Identify needs & opportunities to develop business capability, processes, tools & techniques based on emerging industry standards, customer requirements & advanced technology development
Lead the development of the necessary Automotive Cyber Security systems and processes to comply with the requirements of ISO21434
Lead the development of best-in-class business competency in digital parametric modelling tools & techniques (eg: Matlab, Simulink, virtual DoE) to advance our predictive systems engineering, DFMEA & verification & validation capabilities.
Drive continuous improvement across all associated aspects of the Quality Engineering process.
As Lead Engineer – Functional Safety, System and Software Quality – you will have
Experience of Functional Safety, ISO26262 & associated compliance systems & processes
Systems engineering approach for integrated systems development
Knowledge of New product delivery processes (NPI, PCDS, etc.)
Experience of Electrical-electronic-software system engineering & integration (including Automotive-SPICE process or similar)
It would be desirable to have Automotive Cyber Security ISO 21434 & associated compliance systems & processes exposure. Including Software DFMEA process, tools & best practice
