Lead Engineer - Integration/Craftmanship/PQ - Permanent - Warwick - £Salary DOE & Excellent Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Craftmanship/Integration Engineer to join a small but complete vehicle manufacturer.
The Lead Craftmanship/Integration Engineer will lead the generation and development of the Integration / PQ / Craftsmanship activities and lead complete vehicle Integration / PQ / craftsmanship activities.
The Lead Craftmanship/Integration Engineer will be part of a Vehicle Concept Group developing the engineering content for the vehicle zones including Exterior Trim, Interior Trim, Closures & Mechanisms and Upper body.

What You Will Do:
As Lead Craftmanship/Integration Engineer

  • Mentorship of engineering team in understanding and applying designs and engineering execution which achieves targets.
  • Lead digital reviews and sign-off events for Integration, Perceived Quality & Craftsmanship related activities.
  • Development of Product Attribute Targets based upon the Product Attribute PALS positioning for Craftsmanship / PQ
  • Lead and represent group at Build Events. Lead vehicle auditing activities.
  • Ensure CQT delivery of verification builds using master body.
  • Lead the craftsmanship deliverables through to development / engineering signoff of the vehicle.
  • Benchmarking of competitor vehicles & reporting findings.
  • Lead Optical Quality & Perceived Quality development & assessment activities.



What You Will Need:
As Lead Craftmanship/Integration Engineer

  • Relevant industry experience in automotive design, being a Catia V5 user
  • Proficient knowledge of Craftsmanship (Tools & Techniques).
  • Knowledge/experience within vehicle packaging, systems integration/quality
  • Good understanding of engineering principles
  • Whole vehicle development experience
  • Experience of leading team & project deliverables
