Lead/Principal Design Engineer - Battery Pack Design - EV - Warwick - Permanent - £ Competitive salary

A Lead/Principal Design Engineer Battery Pack Design Engineer is required to design and develop EV Battery packs.

Forming part of the core technical team within a small but complete vehicle manufacturer, you will work across product development and R&D projects involving electric vehicles.

As Lead/Principal Design Engineer - Battery Pack Design - you will be required to;

• Lead CAD modelling of the battery pack components

• Managing subsystems and component level design requirements through collaboration with Customers and other team members

• Component validation plans and test methods

• Develop cooling systems in battery packs

• Layout of technical drawings and production documentation

• Participate in technical reviews of product designs, requirements, and specifications

As Lead/Principal Design Engineer - Battery Pack Design - you will have

• Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in battery system design ideally with Catia or SolidWorks

• Working knowledge or an acknowledged industry expert in High voltage Battery system for Electric vehicle applications

• Understanding of EV Battery chemistry and packaging

• In-depth working experience of EV Battery mechanical and electrical design

• Experience in systems engineering and functional safety
