My client is a niche manufacturer of specialised components servicing a range of markets and customers. My client offers bespoke products and solutions to key customers on a global scale.

They are currently seeking a talented Key Account Manager to focus on maintaining and developing relationships with key OEM customers in Germany.

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • To understand and respond to technical sales enquiries relating to products and solutions, often being the first point of contact for the customer
  • Following up on sales leads and proposals in relation to the company's products, which will involve preparing and sending detailed quotations for customers
  • You'll be able to provide professional demonstrations of product systems that match customers technical requirements
  • Maintaining existing customer relationships is vital in order to identify repeat business opportunities
  • You'll also play a key part in competitor analysis, monitoring the market and playing a key part in ensuring that your company's product offering remains ahead of the curve
  • Efficient communications with internal stakeholders is also key, whether that would be in a commercial or technical context

We are looking for the following:

  • An experienced Key Account Manager with experience of working within a fast-paced tier 1 environment
  • An excellent communicator who is able to build relationships with key customers
  • As this role will be predominantly home-office based, you should be able to work autonomously and be able to self-motivate
  • You'll be able to plan and prioritise work using your own initiative as well as being an active team member
  • You'll have a high degree of commercial acumen and an engineering background would be advantageous
  • Being degree educated is essential
