Role: IT Specialist (Inside IR35)

Location: Oxford

Full time: 37-hour week (hybrid working – 2 days on site, 3 days WFH)

Rate: Up to £28.83p/h Ltd, (c. £21.56p/h PAYE) DOE

Contract: Until end of Dec 2022 (likelihood of extension next year)

We require an IT Specialist/Junior Developer in Oxford to work with the IT Development and Operations team, to maintain and improve delivery, coding and development, support the connectivity of the shop floor and support in with Project(s).

As the IT specialist you will be required to:

  • To identify potentials for new IT solutions, or functional modifications to existing applications which generate business benefit through regular interfacing with IT customers and acting as a consultant. Provide competitiveness through innovation and efficiency increase.
  • IT Projects - Plan, manage, participate, and support IT projects in line with Agile and ITPM standards working with both internal and external partners.
  • Design, build and operation of IT solutions in line with global and local business requirements and global IT standards.
  • Service Management - Uses Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Configuration Management in line with policies and procedures and in conjunction with other teams within the IT community.

As the IT specialist, you should have the following skills/experiences/competencies:

  • Technology is .Net/Core based/Oracle/Postgres/Azure/Docker/Kubernetes
  • Background and/or experience in the technology listed
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Good communication skills at all levels of the organisation. Including good written communication skills (business cases, specifications etc.).
  • Business process experience.
  • Experience in IT application systems maintenance and operations (preferably automotive systems) is desirable.
  • Experience of working in projects is desirable.
  • Qualified ideally to degree level in computing related subject
