Project / Programe Manager (Automotive)
A Project / Programme Manager is required to work for a leading automotive OEM based in Coventry, West Midlands.
Candidates MUST have strong vehicle engineering knowledge along with retailer experience including an understanding of diagnostic tools, hardware and electrical architecture from the retailer side.
Main Duties: The role is to provide project management resource for these two work streams. Due to the highly complex processes and technology being proposed it is essential that the project manager is highly skilled both in agile project management and process transformation with awareness of the future state technology. Provide project management for the two accelerate workstreams which includes: Provide updates to the central accelerate team and to senior management on a regular weekly and daily basis. Liaise with the key suppliers building the technology to ensure all progress against plan, escalate when required. Liaise with partner organisations in Product Engineering and manufacture. Ensure that all risks and issues are recorded and progressed to resolution or mitigation. Liaise with all stakeholders (PE, Manufacture, Regions and NSCs) by acting as a central contact point. Ensure that regular a status are made available to all stakeholders (Markets, Regions, Retailers). Assist on wider project communications. Ensure that the master plan is kept up-to-date. Assist in the management of the budget control for the project.
1) Significant Agile project management experience in a high complex solution
2) Automotive experience in vehicle systems
3) Automotive experience with vehicle diagnosis tools. Familiarization with vehicle bus technologies (ie DoIP). Knowledge of diagnostic standards ODX and OTX. Knowledge of Retailer aftermarket environment, their key pressure and drivers. Proven track record of delivering highly technical complex projects in an automotive aftermarket environment. Practical experience in cloud base and enterprise technologies especially with Java Proven record in delivery on-time on-budget solutions. Highly skilled communicator being able to tune the message for very different stakeholders. Knowledge of Wrike and Jira desirable. Knowledge of wearable technology and industry trends highly desirable.
Academic Degree within relevant area or the equivalent education and/or experience. Retailer service experience desirable. Automotive experience in complex vehicle systems. Prince 2. Agile accredited.
