We are currently seeking experienced CMM Inspectors to work for a high technology Manufacturing company based in Berkshire.
Both Night and Day Shifts are available
To verify documentation, ensuring drawings, parts and documentation are all in order at commencement of operation.
To understand engineering drawings and geometric tolerances in order to carry out:-
Visual inspection techniques
1st Principle Inspection
Contour Trace Inspection
CMM Inspection - Zeiss / Mitutoyo
To promote continuous improvement in measurement techniques, multi-setting and unattended running.
Defect capture / accurate and concise reporting - raising non-conformance reports and ensure that the parts are effectively packaged with the correct documentation in quarantine.
Data input - MS Excel
Liaise with engineering personnel regarding drawing interpretation and results
To undertake day to day machine maintenance
To be part of the personal development process and attend reviews as required
To observe the Health and Safety rules at all times.
To follow the company quality procedures.
To carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.
Education, Qualifications and Training
Experience as an Inspector in an Engineering Environment
CMM Experience (any Make/Model)
CMM Experience on Automatic Mitutoyo
Defect Reporting experience
Basic use of computer based systems
Experience of working in an environment of First Off's, Batch Inspections and Final Inspections
Ability to converse with Engineering Staff on Drawing interpretation and results
Be able to appreciate the customers high requirements and short lead times
Be able to produce well-written and concise records
Capable of working to very close limits and very high standards
Capable of working on own initiative without supervision
Special Requirements of the role
To be flexible within the workplace and work overtime when necessary, including Saturdays
