Hydraulic Systems Engineer

Up to £36/hr - Inside IR35

An Hydraulic Systems Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.

You will be responsible for hydraulic development and maintenance. Develop and validate the hydraulic system through machine testing, tuning, and performance evaluation of the hydraulic system in the machine.

Assisting in solving technical problems while growing your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Hydraulic System schematic creation
• Test and develop changes to hydraulic systems and component solutions
• Research and explore new technology
• Develop original or innovative approaches to engineering design, cost reduction, and problem solving
• Promote quality and continuous improvement philosophy
• Researching and exploring new technology
• Deepen your knowledge base of products, technologies, processes, services, and systems
• Organize and prioritize work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time

To apply for this position you should have some of the following:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
• Mobile machine development with Hydraulic fluid power experience
• Basic knowledge of 3D modelling software, ideally ProE/Creo
• Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Relevant hydraulic engineering work experience or design of off-highway construction machines
• Basic knowledge of testing and data acquisition tools
• Basic knowledge of simulation and analysis of hydraulic systems
• Basic knowledge in machine operation
