Hybrid Avionic Technician - Attractive - Long Term Contract - Wiltshire

A Hybrid Avionic Technician is required to join a market leading Innovative Defence Systems Company. The Hybrid Avionic Technician will be responsible for running and maintaining the Hybrid trainer facility in accordance with the needs of the training programme and is responsible for maintaining and servicing the unit

This is a Temporary role for approx. 12 months which may extend beyond that.

Hybrid Avionic Technician - Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical liaison, advice, support and assistance, on all aspects of the Hybrid
  • Work from an off-site position liaising and interacting with the Training Manager
  • Maintenance of the hybrid trainer in accordance with product drawings & Procedures
  • Undertake Electrical/Avionic and Functional Testing
  • Work to identified specifications, test procedures and work instructions
  • Troubleshoot and rectify any Electrical/Avionic faults in the hybrid trainer
  • Ensure compliance with Company procedures and controls
  • Undertake repair work of the hybrid trainer equipment
  • Record and report all required information and data within agreed timescale
  • When required, support any Investigation on the hybrid equipment
  • Monitor and update the Gold esp/WRAM (Work Recording and Asset Management)
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Management
  • Take responsibility for personal aspects of quality
  • Keep records of Hybrid Lab availability & Maintenance undertaken
  • Manage the spares pool of assets at Larkhill

Technical Skills & Experience for Hybrid Avionic Technician

  • Qualified Electrical/Avionic Technician
  • Experience in providing technical and maintenance support
  • Experience in the Aerospace/Aviation industry
  • Previous experience of operating within a UK military environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Task orientated with a flexible attitude
  • Ability to develop and build good working relationships
  • Self-motivated, ability to work alone or as part of a small team
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages
  • Methodical approach to assembly, system testing and problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of Military aircraft
  • Military Avionics background is preferred
  • Experience of working on operational projects
  • Training & qualifications and able to read drawings and carryout bench work
  • Knowledge in all aspects of associated wiring, assembly, test, fault-finding etc.
