HSE Trainer - Cheshire - Aerospace Manufacturing - Attractive - Fixed Term

A HSE Trainer is required to join an Aerospace Manufacturing company based in Cheshire. The Company has an immediate vacancy within its HSE Team for a HSE Trainer. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to join a large and well recognised company within the Aerospace Sector on a Fixed Term basis. The HSE Trainer will work with key leaders, in a collaborative manner to develop risk management and the safety performance throughout the business. The HSE Trainer will report into the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.

The HSE Trainer will be an Experienced Risk Assessor/Instructor to assist and mentor the current leadership team and hence will have a strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems, technical knowledge of chemicals and COSHH, coupled with strong engagement and leadership skills. The HSE Trainer will be strategic rather than reactive, assessing the skills and knowledge within each department and determining what training and coaching is required to grow and retain these skills.

HSE Trainer - Key Tasks

  • Assisting the leadership teams to Identify, analyse and classify Health, Safety and Environmental risks
  • Planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process
  • Support and mentor leaders in the risk assessment process
  • Risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established
  • Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness
  • Draw an overall or individualised training and development plan
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods Conduct effective induction sessions
  • Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development and resolve any specific problems
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices

HSE Trainer - Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Hold the NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum qualification
  • Proven experience, within a HSE role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to influence others
  • Proven work experience in a training/coaching capacity
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals Good computer and database skills
