A great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of air distribution products as a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Engineer based in their new facility in Snodland. You will assist with the implementation and management of Health and Safety policies and procedures, providing the necessary advice to the production management team to help maintain adherence to current HSE policies and legislations.

What you'll be doing:

• Help maintain a system for health, safety, environmental to meet legislation, accreditation and directive requirements within the new plant
• Assist in the development and implementation of the HSE strategy and plan to support the annual business plan and long-term strategy
• Review HSE policies, procedures and guidance in line with best practices and current and future HSE legislative requirements, and to make recommendations on their application and implementation
• Help maintain systems for measuring and monitoring HSE performance and assist with certification and accreditations such as 9001 and 140001
• In association with the Quality Engineer, actively work with and follow up NCR and drive to reduce the number and cost associated with them
• Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated in accordance with the company's policies and procedures

Skills helpful for the role:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Membership or accreditation of a professional body (eg IOSH, Chartership of IOSH)
• Strong influencing and communication skills
• Effective problem solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office packages
