Title: Geometry and Simulation Development Engineer

Contract Position based at: University of Warwick

Rate: - up to £31.41/hr Ltd umbrella

Position Description:

Engineering Geometry and Simulation Development Engineer

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Working experience and use of CAD systems for geometry creation: Catia V5/3D Experience, Team centre, etc
  • Good working knowledge of interior cabin, seating, cockpit systems.
  • A good working knowledge of customer focussed product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes

  • Previous experience in a Research role in engineering or automotive environment
  • Experience of Technology Creation Development System or equivalent research maturity/quality framework
  • Experience of concept generation and cross functionality problem resolution Design Thinking / Systems Engineering skillset and approach to customer focussed product development.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of specific car components, or systems and sub-systems
  • Working knowledge of sustainability tools inc. LCA
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good working knowledge of body exterior systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
