Forensic Investigator – 55005

Pay Rate: Up to £23.06/hr LTD rate (inside IR35). AWR rate increase applies after 12 weeks – rate will increase to £29.83/hr LTD.

Contract Position based at: Dunton

Position Description and Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate vehicle fires in UK market.
• Determine the cause of the fire through onsite investigation and analysis/reconstruction of the burnt vehicle and components.
• Cooperate with internal and external departments (e.g.: engineers/manufacturers/suppliers/police/public prosecutor).
• Create reports, expert opinions and documentation for internal committees (CCRG- Critical Concerns Review Group, FRC- Field Review Committee) and external communication (OGC, insurance companies, authorities (e.g. KBA/DVSA) up to the representation of the results in court proceedings).

Skills Required:

• Good background in vehicle design and assembly - PD/manufacturing

Skills Preferred:

• Report writing
• Presentation skills

Experience Required:

• Vehicle design or manufacturing engineering

Experience Preferred:

• Time in technical workshop - e.g. fleet workshop, pilot plant, dealer service

Education Required:

• Degree in relevant subject e.g. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Additional Information:

Hybrid working, c. 1 day per week on site.

Role involves travel, potentially an average of 1 trip/week, with some overnights depending on distance.
