A fantastic opportunity for an energetic self-motivated Sales Engineer to be "MD of their own area" and generate solution-based sales in the Southwest (Bournemouth through to Barnstaple). Selling cutting tool solutions through new account acquisition and driving increase in the distribution partner market share.

Our client, part of a global manufacturer of machining specialist cutting tools, are targeting significant growth over the next four years and believe the key to sales growth is to build great relationships with clients, employees, and the community.


What you will get to do.

  • You will effectively promote and sell an innovative range of cutting tools.
  • You will be responsible for the development of existing accounts at end user and distribution level as well as providing technical advice and support.
  • You will grow and expand the distribution networks in the sales area.
  • Discover potential new business within your territory as well as retaining and growing existing accounts.


Skills that will reflect positively in your application.

  • Have a City & Guilds/BTEC or equivalent level qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Having a market knowledge of competitors and product.
  • Extensive knowledge of cutting application.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Excellent planning and negotiation skills.
  • Good communication skills.
