European Services Manager - Worcester

 

Our client is a global manufacturer of capital machine tool equipment and with continued growth in their UK and Northern/Western European markets, they are seeking a European Services Manager to transform and increase the success of their strategic customer service initiatives, activities and offering.

As part of the senior management team and based in Worcester but with occasional travel as required through the Group, the European Services Manager is to further develop our client's service strength strategically through the development and improved focus on their 'true' service culture, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and revenue growth. This role is a non-technical position but will work closely with the existing customer services, servicing and aftermarket teams across this territory.

Working closely with the organisation leadership and existing service delivery and aftermarket teams, the European Services Manager will:

  • Strategically develop the existing service and aftermarket activities to support improved customer service and customer loyalty
  • Be the driver of positive change within the internal service culture, working with all teams to improve best practices commercially and technically
  • Consider, develop and introduce methodologies and tools to enhance and improve the customer experience, using digital and third-party sources as necessary
  • Support and further develop our client's image in the market

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Have considerable exposure to customer service success development and delivery
  • Have experience of taking a large manufacturing organisation on a positive 'journey of cultural change' around their service activities
  • Have worked in an international B2B or B2C environment where the service offering has evolved and remains successfully established
  • Have experience of working alongside and leading teams covering a broad range of services and aftermarket solutions
  • Have exposure and experience of developing and introducing modern tools to support customer experience enhancement and development.

 

The successful candidate will be ideally qualified to degree level and above and will have excellent interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm to make customer service the priority. With the ability to develop relationships across all elements of the business in the UK and internationally, you must be an effective communicator and demonstrate a prominent level of professionalism. A strong strategic awareness is required.
