EMC Test Technician / Engineer (On Shift) - Permanent - Nuneaton - £ Competitive DOE

Our client is a global provider of pioneering engineering, research and test services to the automotive, defence, aerospace and rail sectors. They are seeking an EMC Test Technician / Engineer to provide EMC Engineering Services. You will support the development of ground-breaking automated vehicle systems, complex powertrains and wireless technologies.

What you will do
As EMC Test Technician / Engineer;

  • Perform testing on a wide variety of automotive components and subsystems in accordance with international standards and vehicle manufacturer test specifications.
  • Ensure tests are delivered to schedule and to internal quality standards.
  • Work in specialist automotive and electrical component laboratories.
  • Review and execute test specifications and test plans.
  • Maintain detailed records and liaise with customers and project managers.
  • Set up test equipment.
  • Support shift rotas.

What you will need
As EMC Test Technician / Engineer ;

  • An Electrical / Electronic Engineering background
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment.
  • Advantageous to have automotive electrical / EMC / RF knowledge.
  • A full driving licence.
