EMC Systems Engineer
An EMC Systems Engineer is required with knowledge of automotive EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) specification.
The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Systems Engineer is a senior role within the EMC department. The position is ideally suited to an experienced engineer with strong communication, project management skills and proficient in automotive EMC discipline.
The successful candidate will be involved in the development of various programs, from small passenger cars to light commercial vehicles.
As an EMC Systems Engineer you will be required to take responsibility for key roles and responsibilities which will include:
Lead component level EMC compliance process:
*Ensure all electrical and electronic components used in vehicles are compliant with EMC specifications.
*Provide technical leadership to EMC applications engineers in the development of component EMC test plans for new or complex product and technologies.
*Lead technical design reviews with suppliers during early development phase of new programs
Support vehicle level development and compliance process:
*Support resolution of issues identified during verification tests
Support regular technical review meetings with EMC engineers from other regions of the company.
This position is ideally suited to enthusiastic electronics engineer with experience in the automotive industry.
The EMC Systems Engineer should have the following skills or experience:
*Full driving licence
*Excellent oral and written communications
*Knowledge of automotive EMC specifications
*EMC testing, design techniques for EMC and project management
*Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (grade 2.2 or higher)
The position will require occasional travel within the UK and Europe. It may also be necessary to visit USA or China. Therefore, the applicant needs to be able and willing to travel.
