Electrical Production Engineer - Permanent - Manufacturing - West Midlands

An Electrical Production Engineer is required to join a leading Control Systems Manufacturing Company on Permanent basis that specialises in products primarily for the Electrical and Electronic industry. The Electrical Production Engineer will be working with electrical control systems and associated ancillary equipment products.

The Electrical Production Engineer will assist to ensure products are manufactured to the customer requirements/specification. The Electrical Production Engineer duties will include generating Bills of Materials, internal manufacturing drawings and test processes

Responsibilities and Accountabilities of the Electrical Production Engineer

  • Preparation and management of Bill of Materials to provide accurate date for procurement
  • Preparation and management of manufacturing documentation and technical documents
  • Working with procurement and manufacturing to ensure needs are understood
  • Work within the New Product Introduction process and participating in design reviews
  • Participate in project meetings and customer meetings as required
  • Provide technical support to other departments as required
  • Understand and apply relevant design, regulatory and industrial standards
  • Operate in accordance to ISO 9001 and strict industry standards

Requirements, Experience and Skills of the Electrical Production Engineer

  • HNC/ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industrial experience
  • Experience in a similar role with the
  • Ability to multi-task, plan accurately & follow plans
  • Deliver on time and against KPI deadlines
  • Effective communication skills within the company, the supplier base and customers
  • Experience of design for manufacture (DFM) & a background in a production environment
  • Preferred Experience in AutoCAD, E-Plan, Pro-E and Corel Draw
  • Ability to program PLC's, for automated testing
  • Ability and experience to help manage a design team
  • Knowledge and experience in design to Strict Industry Standards
  • Experience of Control Panels design and assembly
  • Experience of producing quotation and estimates
