Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer

Overview of the role:
This role involves generating new harness designs and releasing hardware specifications to support the development of new machine products. The individual must have a wide range of electrical and electronic skills to understand and develop hardware architecture at machine level. Proficient in harness CAD packages and experience with harness roughing, fuse allocation, wire sizing and CAN network development.
Your Responsibilities as an Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer
To implement new and fresh ideas for machine harness architecture from concept to production including design, development, validation and design release.
Proficient in harness CAD packages and experience with harness roughing, fuse allocation, wire sizing and CAN network development.
Generation of technical drawings and hardware specifications.
Coordinate with suppliers.
Electrical degree or equivalent.
Demonstrates creativity and innovation within the discipline of the Electrical and Electronic subsystem of mobile construction equipment.
Will complete full Product Improvement (PI) change note documentation.
Awareness of cost implications for full component life cycle.
Working understanding of Engineering Sign Off (ESO) procedures.
Competent with systems and procedures of the department e.g. Computer Aided Design (CAD) / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s.
Demonstrates ability to take responsibility for the design/development of Electrical and Electronic subsystems - From concept to on-line manufacture.
Capable of executing analysis, calculations in regard to wiring sizing and fusing.
