Project Manager
Paying up to £550 per day

A Project Manager with experience of eCommerce project management is required to provide support to a manufacturing market leader on a temporary basis for an initial 12 month period in Coventry and is paying up to £550 per hour.

The role will involve;

  • Take ownership of the multi-function business readiness work stream: from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management, ensuring quality, cost and timescales are prioritised as appropriate
  • Ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outputs in support of implementing new car online sales into the business and its franchise network
  • Ensure appropriate reporting structures are in place and operationally supported
  • Partner with operational business stakeholders to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions
  • Be key product owner for the design of any training required for staff and oversee its delivery by training team/deliver where appropriate
  • Plan for and manage project risks, issues and dependencies to maximise likelihood of project success, escalating upwards where necessary
  • Management of required governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management
  • Effect strong stakeholder management of all multi functions stakeholders and other functional stakeholders who have an impact on business readiness in multi functions and contract to ensure the business readiness work stream adds value and is aligned to stakeholder expectations
  • Where required support the management and delivery of business change arising in multi functions and the transition of project outputs into service delivery via appropriate stakeholder engagement and communications
  • Updating senior managers/board of when projects don't go according to plan, specifying what has gone wrong and what plan is in place to resolve the problem
  • Be the point of contact of any queries/ideas/problems that arise from the project

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a strong project manager with experience in eCommerce (ESSENTIAL)
  • Be able to manage significant risks and issues
  • Have strong negotiation skills
  • Be results driven
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport, credibility and relationships at a senior level across the business
  • Have excellent IT skills including with Word and Excel
  • Be a self-starter
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines with a delivery focus
