DVA Engineer - Permanent - Basildon - £Competitive Salary DOE
I am seeking a Dimensional Variation Analysis DVA Engineer for a leading global supplier of automotive exterior/interior components and systems, they are a market leader in all of their key product segments.
The Dimensional Variation Analysis DVA Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and be part of a team of engineers & designers supporting new programs & ongoing production
This is a permanent position based in Basildon and is offering a competitive salary & benefits.

What You Will Do:
As Dimensional Variation Analysis DVA Engineer

  • To Work with Product Engineers & Designers to ensure the locator strategy is agreed and translated into the part design
  • Carry out and document DVA analysis & calculations
  • Ensure all gap/flush targets are assessed / concurred backed up with the relevant dimensional studies
  • Lead the mark-up of prints for GD&T annotation. Sign off dimensional elements of drawings prior to release
  • Provide input to DFMEA forum
  • Support gauge design process and cascade Engineering requirements to Gauge Engineer
  • Support nominal buck build review
  • Support change management process



What You Will Need:
As Dimensional Variation Analysis DVA Engineer

  • Degree qualified Engineer with relevant industry experience
  • Experience of automotive interior commodities, typical primary and secondary processes
  • Application of GD&T to BS8888 standard, Measurement and Gauging, Dimensional Management, and the use of statistics in the control of manufacturing
  • Use of Vis VSA
  • Conversant with automotive quality tools and systems
  • The ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
