Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Dudley, West Midlands

Salary: Negotiable (Depending on Experience)

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work for our client at their site in the West Midlands, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to work with a range of special purpose machinery products for the Water and Waste Water Treatment Industry worldwide.

This position is on a permanent basis, and the suitable candidate will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Graduate level with some experience in the industry OR 3 years' plus experience
  • Good CAD proficiency (Inventor)
  • Previous experience of the design of Materials Handling / Special Purpose Machinery would be beneficial
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

  • Using Inventor 3D CAD
  • Producing engineering drawings for manufacture and assembly
  • Producing machinery specification documents as required
  • Providing mechanical engineering support to the projects and sales teams
  • Working closely with other Mechanical Design Engineers
