We are working with a global manufacturing provider of innovative solutions to the FMCG industry. The plant is experiencing excellent growth, volumes are up, and we are looking to recruit exceptional staff for them.

With this role, we are looking for an experienced Demand Planner, with strong knowledge of SAP gained from a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As Demand Planner you will :

  • Ensure Customers are supplied with the required material at the requested date while maximizing the production efficiency of our site
  • Liaise with customer service on customer required dates to ensure that customer requirements are met
  • Ensure that efficient, rapid, and positive communication routes are maintained
  • Actively liaise with all members of the Supply Chain department to ensure they are aware of the short-term needs of the business
  • Work very closely with site procurement team  
  • Own Supply Planning MPS, scheduling, capacity, and sequencing activities
  • Drive and Monitor and enhance plant OTIF – Manage CMI / VMI stock sheets
    • Develop effective forecast models in SAP IBP based on industry trends and demand patterns, with analysis techniques and effective leadership
    • Closely collaborate with customer services to support, drive, and challenge the new sales forecast submission
    • Flag critical cases to be addressed during the demand / Supply review meetings
    • Propose and implement solutions to improve planning processes and KPIs
    • Provide rational behind demand evolutions compared to previous month
    • Own forecast dashboards and follow-up action plans to be actively presented during monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process

  • Functional Teams that are heavily linked into supply chain processes such as Manufacturing, R&D, Procurement, and Sales & Marketing
  • GM ’s, Production Managers, Commercial Managers
  • Stakeholders within other areas of the business

Principal accountabilities

  • Act as a key support function to the sales team, collecting and processing market intelligence to support effective sales forecast process
  • Drive demand reviews together Sales and customer service executives
  • Improve standard demand planning processes (KPI analysis, dashboard review), to reduce order book volatility and help to drive downstream production, material, delivery, and inventory strategies,
  • Engage with Customers, in partnership with Sales Teams, as appropriate; look for ways to integrate planning processes with customers.
  • Create, in partnership with Sales Teams and HR, training and development plans for Customer Service and Planning teams
  • Improve communication links and workflows with NBO, R&D and Commercial organizations both centrally and within the BU’s
  • Promote the use of common tools (system and process)
  • Rigorous use of CI methodology in all activities; ensure engagement with appropriate CI resources
  • Strongly contribute to IBP implementation


Formal Qualifications and Experience

  • Substantial experience in supply chain management experience preferably in an international B2B or alternatively fast-moving consumer goods matrix environment (FMCG)
  • Previous experience in forecasting and S&OP, levering on analytics, marketing, and sales data
  • Good level of education with high achievement levels

  • Strong ability in analysing data with critical thinking
  • Adaptable, dynamic, intuitive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills
  • Sense of urgency to address and resolve issues
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and good experience in statistical forecasting
  • Knowledge of SAP IBP or similar Supply Chain Planning tools preferred
  • Fluent English and ideally one additional European language (e.g., French, German, Spanish)
