A fast-paced manufacturing company are recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer. You will be responsible for IT infrastructure from malicious attacks, from without or within the organisation. Coming from a strong IT background with knowledge of computer systems, security, and IT infrastructure.  

As a Cyber Security Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Analyse new technology and implementing new systems and software across the business.
  • Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them.
  • Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches.
  • Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.
  • Working closely with the IT Systems Manager on Monitoring for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised, or illegal activity.
  • Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption.
  • Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.

An exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer with the following.

  • A passion for cyber security and a keen interest in IT.
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security.
  • Familiarity with solutions such as Carbon Black, KnowB4, Logic Monitor, and Proofpoint
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns, and trends.
  • Verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate.
  • Excellent communication and time keeping skills.
  • Full UK Driving license.
