Customs/Foreign Trade Administrator

Location – Cambridgeshire

We are recruiting for a Customs & Foreign Trade Administrator to join a specialist manufacturing business based in the Cambridge area where you will work to support the logistics, commercial and finance teams to ensure compliance regulations are met. This will be a busy role where you will liaise with suppliers and customers checking that documentation is in place whilst also being compliant.

Candidates with experience within Import and Export customs or Customs Administration working within Manufacturing environments would be well received.

As the Customs & Foreign Trade Administrator you will be required to:

• Support the flow of imports and exports
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and brokers ensuring documentation is fully compliant for import and re- export to global markets
• Coordinating all brokers and customs requests with the relevant internal departments
• Resolve any issues that could delay the movement of import or export shipments
• Carry out monthly checks of import/export entries ensuring 100% compliance
• Support the internal control process to ensure import and export declarations are met correctly
• Check and code all border carrier and broker invoices
• Support on trade compliance issues

Candidates should have the following skills or experience:

• Experience in the field of customs/foreign trade
• Experience as a Customs Administrator
• A good knowledge of import and export processing and Customs procedures
• Confident in use of MS Office
• Excellent spoken and English skills
