A number of Customs Analysts is required to join an automotive OEM.
Incremental headcount in the Customs & International Trade Compliance (CITC) team to allow the in-house processing of additional UK and EU import/export declarations from 01.01.2021 (Brexit, post-Customs Union).
This role sits within the broader Tax team within the Finance function. This role is one of x20 B Grade Analysts divided into x4 teams. This wider team is responsible for processing c. 500,000 declarations p.a. and, given the extremely short lead time on UK-EU movements, is be required to provide a level of cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week . This is a data input role and requires no previous Customs experience
- Are you comfortable and able to work shifts as this role will be a shift based role which where the hours will be 0600 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday, on a weekly rotation basis?
- Do you have the ability to effectively interpret and communicate base data and input into systems?
- Do you have good analytical skills with an attention to detail?
Experience of GTSSAP (customs software programme, SAP based)
A good standard of education.
Previous experience gained within an import/export shipping department or external customs broker/agency would be an advantage
Driving licence holder. Willingness to travel to ports/airports/inland storage locations if required. End date: 31.05.2021
