Commercial Vehicle Infotainment Engineer - 54878
Pay Rate: Up to £23.06/hr Ltd - inside IR35
AWR rate increase applies after 12 weeks - Rate will increase to £29.83/hr Ltd
Division: Product Development
Contract Position based at: Dunton
Position Description:
- Ongoing product development (OPD) for Transit infotainment systems and related sub-components.
- Application of given priorities regarding function, quality, cost and timing in close collaboration with global "core" teams and Program Management Team.
- Support cross-function activities to resolve vehicle-level functional and process issues ¿ Lead component release and Bill of Material management.
- Lead supplier sourcing activities working with cross-function teams such as Finance, Program Management and Purchasing.
- Support technical design reviews and software evaluation workshops and project status presentation to senior management.
- Lead design validation, verification and signoff activities for infotainment components and the associated sub-systems.
- Support creation of work plans for project management and monitoring within program timeline and gateway deliverables.
- Lead issue investigation, fault analysis, data gathering (e.g. CAN logs), documentation and resolution of all issues reported throughout development cycle.
- Lead issue management, tracking and reporting
- Coordination of cross carline software delivery into vehicle program timeline, following software release and signoff processes.
- Lead software deployment and reflash activities onto development vehicles, test benches and breadboards.
- Conduct vehicle level testing and signoff per global component requirement in line with the program timeline.
- Analysis of test results considering specifications of interfacing functions.
- Support diagnostics-related tasks including component configuration (e.g. VSCS) and diagnostics specifications.
- Support vehicle launch activities to meet program requirements (e.g. PPAP plans, AIMS resolution, part supply).
Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated excellent Project Management / Co-ordination skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication Skills.
- Knowledge of component development (including software development), control and tracking processes
- Problem and issue analysis
- Experience of CAN tools including CANalyser, CANoe, and/or CANDB++
- Able to run autonomously with minimal supervisory intervention
- Actively drive issue resolution to conclusion
- Must have experience of using Product Development processes
- Must have experience of working on electrical or electronic systems
- Full UK driving licence is required – potential travel to launch sites, supplier sites and other engineering/testing locations
Desirable:
- Experience of Vehicle Electrical Network Systems
- Engineering Degree
