Job title: CNC Programmer/Setter - Turning

Salary Range: £13.00 per hour with overtime paid at time 1.3 after 40 hours

Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday


Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Permanent or Contract position working for a oil and gas manufacturer.

A CNC Programmer/Setter is required with knowledge of programming and setting CNC turning machines, online. Working as part of a small team running 2-3 axis CNC turning machines, small to high volume batch work of high-quality components with a responsibility to continually improve processes, tooling and fixtures.

Candidates with experience of Fanuc controls will be well received.

Due to ongoing CNC expansion this client based in Wolverhampton requires a dynamic, leading CNC Programmer/Setter on a permanent or contract basis. As a CNC programmer/Setter, you will be required to:

  • Set and online programme 2-3 axis CNC turning machines
  • Use Fanuc controls
  • Tool changes
  • First offs
  • First off inspections
  • Using Verners, Gauges, Micrometres and manual CMMs
  • Producing setup documents
  • Working with low volume high value parts
  • Low batch work so ability to work with short leads times
  • Reading GD&T drawings

The CNC Programmer/Setter should have the following skills or experience:

  • CNC programming online
  • CNC programming, setting and operating
  • CNC turning
  • CMM and manual measuring would be advantageous
