Job title: CNC Setter Programmer

Salary Range: £14.00 - 16.00 per hour. £27,300 - £31,200 per annum

Overtime: Paid at Time & Half after 37.5 hours

Hours: 37.5-hour week

Location: Bridgnorth Shropshire

Permanent Contract working for a leading manufacturing organisation within the Automotive, Motorsport, Marine and MOD sector.

A CNC Setter Programmer is required with knowledge of setting HAAS, MAZAK & MATSURA CNC machining centres with Fanuc and/or Mazak / Mazatrol controls.

Candidates that have worked in a high end machine shop with experience of downloading programs, setting of tools and fixtures, making required adjustments to offsets, Set new fixtures and prove out programs for new products and the ability to change tools, tips and reset datum's to suit will be well received.

Due to workload this Motorsport manufacturer based in Bridgnorth Shropshire requires an experienced, dynamic, leading CNC setter programmer on a 37.5 hour day shift on a straight permanent contract. As a CNC Setter Programmer, you will be required to:

• Set existing products on CNC machining centers including downloading programs, setting of tools and fixtures and making required adjustments to offsets.
• Set new fixtures and prove out programs for new products
• Set and prove out new tooling for new products
• Change tools, tips and reset datum's to suit
• Carry out in-process inspection checks, including the use of air gauging, and document where appropriate
• Operate CMM for in-process measurement checks
• Gauge checking
• Look after the day to day maintenance of the CNC machining centers
• Keep work area clean tidy and safe at all times
• Any other additional duties as requested

The CNC Setter Programmer should have the following skills or experience:

• Experience in the above responsibilities
• Experience of HAAS, MAZAK & MATSURA machining centres
• Experience of Fanuc and or Mazak / Mazatrol
• Able to work using own initiative
• Good interpersonal skills
• Methodical approach to work
• Role adaptability
