Title: Control Engineer
Division: Chassis Engineering
Contract Position based at: Gaydon
Rate: Up to £30.71 per hour
The Chassis Motion Systems Control group is primarily responsible for developing and delivering features such as, Air Suspension, Damping, Active Roll Control and Active Suspension, the work covers all aspects of the design from requirements to full implementation.
As a Control Engineer you are responsible for translating functional requirements into control functions, in the Simulink environment, as well as the associated verification of the implementation of function. You will be working other team members make sure that delivery of your work is aligned with the deliverables and timing of the project.
- Good understanding of vehicle electrical / electronic systems.
- Experience generating models in Matlab, Simulink Stateflow
- Knowledge of vehicle networks and associated impact on control systems
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve challenging objectives.
Previous experience in a similar role in the automotive, aerospace or relevant sector
Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment
Competent dSpace/Rapid Controller Prototyping user
Degree or equivalent experience required.
