Title: Charging Features Engineer (Powertrain)
Contract Position based at: Gaydon
Charging Systems is an area within the Powertrain Electrification Group that takes Customer-Requirements, translates them into engineering units and designs a distributed system to meet them.
We have responsibility for liaising with many areas including other engineering groups and programme management. Our designs are implemented on all plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. Within the team, we design, validate and verify the systems to a premium level.
The Charging Features Engineer is responsible for the first stage in the design of the System, requiring a sympathy for Human Factors, Engineering and Component deliverables and is required to deliver a robust, agreed design that can be further decomposed into engineering designs.
- Knowledge of Human Factors in vehicle design
- Ability to work and communicate with others at multiple levels, including close liaison with Marketing, Human Factors and Engineering
- Degree in Engineering or similar desirable
