We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Training Manager with a background in Technical Sales, to provide sales expertise and Training to a Technology companies Partners.


Job Summary
The role will train Channel partners to support clients. Major commercial channels include New Body Builders, Direct Owners, Leasing Companies. Each channel can be serviced with differentiated products, and are supported through a combination of direct sales and indirect distributor sales.

Reporting to the Sales VP Europe the Training Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of sales and customer related training activities in the automotive service department. Training programs will focus on sales, marketing, technical service and product knowledge with a goal of developing a best in class sales and service network.

Job Focus:

Develop training programs to maximise the sales team's revenue potential.
Achieve sales training objectives by contributing sales training information and recommendations to strategic plans and budgets.

Manage/ Coordinate the training on all Products and Programs to all Corporate, Distributor, Installer or Retail Customers in the assigned markets. Implement Products Strategic Initiatives in the Regions pertaining to educating and training on products, tools and technology.
Embrace the Customers first approach and always act in the best interest of Professional Products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop a comprehensive training platform for multiple channel partners. Implement sales training activities.

Demo product and equipment on vehicles in customer settings.

Represent the Company in a professional manner at various events (trade shows, club meeting, etc.) as deemed necessary to promote the professional image and dedication of the company.

Develop relationships with leaders at all levels of the organisation in various functional roles including sales, marketing, customer service and technical support.

Define and execute annual training goals and objectives.

Identify appropriate learning and delivery methodologies, current and future, and build structures to effectively deploy; using distance learning as appropriate.

Develop and drive interactive e-learning tools that can be modified and updated to accommodate different channel partners.

In conjunction with sales management, develop and manage training curriculum for new sales employees to ensure rapid on-boarding and start-up.

Review, edit and create training materials (leader's guides, participant manuals, job aids, video scripts) for trainers, managers and others as it relates to sales, marketing, and technical knowledge.

Knowledge/Skills:

The Training Manager must possess the ability to demonstrate strong leadership by example with "hands-on" experience.

Have the ability to physically demonstrate the products and associated equipment on vehicles in a customer setting is a prerequisite.

Exceptional communication skills verbal, written and presentation must be evident.

Have the ability to understand the industry and customer needs and be able to identify solutions either by new-product, new business, new ideas or with exciting training or marketing programs.

Must be extremely organised and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated training and facilitation skills, including the proven ability to work with adult learners.

Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and/or other computer applications as required by the job function.

The Training Manager is a proactive leader, outgoing and energetic while continuously displaying an enterprise first and team attitude.

Education:

Bachelors' Degree (Adult Education, Training, Business, or related degree - with extensive sales training experience).
5+ years of successful sales experience in the Automotive Aftermarket industry (highly preferred). Experience in adult learning principles, technology, and e-learning training.
ASE or equivalent automotive certification preferred.

The job will be located primarily in Croydon, with regular travel to meetings with partners, customers and suppliers in the UK and overseas
