Contract Position based at: Gaydon

Rate: - up to £33.92/hr Ltd umbrella

Position

MBS Engineer required to undertake modelling and analysis activities using Simpack software to support powertrain design and development focusing on the three attributes: driveability, NVH and durability.

We are looking for Engineers with the appropriate mathematical, numerical modelling and powertrain torque & force transfer path knowledge and skills along with the ability to write quality code towards the development of simulations in our current environments.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Problem solving - structured approach to resolving engineering issues
• Report writing - confident in ability to interpret and post process results and make recommendations, written and verbal.
• Prior knowledge and experience in powertrain multibody vehicle modelling and analysis of Multibody Systems
• Solid background of mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, and vibration
• Excellent knowledge of powertrain torque transfer path and its controls

Preferred:

• Prior knowledge and experience in powertrain multibody model development and validation in Simpack
• Proficient understanding and application of MATLAB and Simulink
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with others
• Experience in writing/interpreting coding languages (MATLAB, C++, Python, JavaScript) would be advantageous
