Design, Mechanical, Fabrication, Assembly, Machined Components, Development, Engineering, Prototype, 2D, 3D, CAD, Solidworks or 3D CAD

Do you want to work for a world class SME, driving engineering excellence across their bespoke product range? We are looking for either a Graduate Engineer or CAD Technician with experience of creating 2D and 3D CAD drawing using fabricated, machined and/or assembled parts and system supporting the growth and development of their current and future product range across the UK and mainland Europe.

As a CAD Technician your main job function will be:

  • To support the Engineering Team through delivery of an efficient and effective service in the following areas of fabrication, machining and assembly of special purpose equipment:
    • 2D and 3D Design (Preferably using Solidworks)
    • Maintaining Engineering documentation
    • GD&T
    • Product Development
    • Communication with both internal and external customers

Experience Require:

  • Graduate Engineer or CAD Technician with 3-5 years’ experience in 2D and 3D design
  • Competence in problem solving, planning and decision making
  • Solid Works / Sheet Metal Design / Machining / PDM
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining and assembly
  • Understanding and ability to work in an SME where adaptability, flexibility and delivery is key 
  • Knowledge of special purpose equipment and machinery
  • Exposure to rail, infrastructure, civil and/or marine would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the business
