A growing engineering company are looking for a CAD Technician to join the design team. You will be working within a small mechanical design team, supporting on amendments to currently drawings and creating new designs. You will have experience of mechanical design and have understanding of structural steel works and welded fabrication.  

As a CAD Technician your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

• Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for working within the Technical Design Department.
• Producing high quality 2D & 3D drawings to allow accurate fabrication and production of component parts.
• Creation of detailed drawings for manufacture and assembly, knowledge of welding principals and geometric tolerancing.
• Modification of existing designs.
• Preparation of technical documentation (parts lists, assembly instructions, machine manuals).

An exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician with the following.

• Previous experience working as a CAD Technician with knowledge of Inventor, Solid works or AutoCAD ideally within 3D.
• Experience in detailing structural steelwork and welded fabrications.
• Able to work under pressure to meet project deadline.
• Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills
