Technical Sales Manager
General Manufacturing

My client manufactures and distributes safety critical parts across a range of sectors including Aerospace & Defence, Nuclear and Petrochemical. They are seeking a high calibre Technical Sales Manager who will prove to be a key leader in driving through new business across a range of sectors.

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:


  • Driving best practice of key account management
  • Consistently winning new business within key market segments
  • Developing and fostering long-term relationships with clients
  • Attending exhibitions and events to network and promote the business
  • Delivering on revenue targets and business growth
  • Managing new projects whilst setting long-term sales strategies
  • You will develop business plans, policies and programs associated with the business unit
  • Working closely with Engineering and New Product Development
  • Develop and maintain direct customer relationships at high strategic levels to keep informed of market issues and opportunities
  • You’ll identify and target growth opportunities in relevant sectors

We are looking for the following:


  • An experienced technical sales professional with a demonstrable track record of achieving new business on a consistent basis
  • Experience of working within an engineering environment with a good understanding of manufacturing process
  • A self-starter who can scope the market and target and work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Sector experience can include Aerospace & Defence, Nuclear and Petrochemical and General Manufacturing
  • You’ll be an excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • This person should enjoy the challenge of leading and developing a team
  • Ideally degree qualified
