Are you an ambitious, experienced Business Development Manager, with a background in the road freight/groupage sector? Are you focussed to work an allocated sales territory with a competitive drive? Then my client has a salary package of up to £50k, car, uncapped commission and benefits associated with a global corporation on offer. Based at the Birmingham office.

What you will get to do.

• Take responsibility for new business and existing customer growth for the Road Logistics Business Unit.
• Be active in presenting and visiting clients in a designated territory.
• Develop relationships with clients to understand their needs and work with operational support to provide solutions.
• Plan, implement and execute your local area sales strategy.
• Raise quotations and literature in line with company guidelines.

Skills and Experience that may reflect positively on your application.

• Proven business to business, face to face sales experience
• Experience of working within a targeted new business environment.
• Experience of generating own sales leads
• Be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role with a medium/large Forwarder
• Strong background in European Road Freight/Groupage
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
