Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working exclusively with our client Lontra in their search for a Build & Test Technician to join this established innovative engineering company based near to the town of Southam in Warwickshire.

This SME sized organisation is developing revolutionary new air and gas compressor designs bringing innovation to established industries across the energy and utility sectors.

Due to continued growth and significant investment our client is seeking a Build & Test Technician to support demand for ever increasing projects. We are seeking an individual that will fit into an established team of development engineers and play a leading role in the development of a potentially world class new design of compressor.

The core responsibility of this role will include:

  • Building test rigs to a high standard, including construction, supporting with commissioning and maintenance where required.
  • Carrying out compressor build in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining any build and test documentation to ensure accurate reporting requirements and standards are met.
  • Running test beds and rigs to deliver required data to Engineers.

The successful candidate will ideally be apprenticeship trained or time served with previous experience in a build and test environment. You'll be able to demonstrate competence in the skills required for a rig build role, knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication experience and knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems would be very advantageous.
