Braking Systems Engineer - South - £35k - £50k DOE

What you will do
As Braking Systems Engineer;

  • Create brake system designs utilising the latest technology, manufacturing techniques and materials.
  • Own component and sub-systems, ensuring requirements and target specifications are achieved.
  • Create and release parts to production intent designs.
  • Optimise and validate designs with simulation, liaising with CAE engineers.
  • Support test, development, validation and vehicle build events.
  • Work within the chassis team and with other functional areas to ensure system integration and compatibility.

What you will need
As Braking Systems Engineer;

  • A good degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Engineering knowledge of braking components/systems, function, performance and manufacturing requirements.
  • Proven experience of chassis development from concept to production, minimum of 2years.
  • Proficient in mechanical CAD, preferably NX though training available.
  • Experience of FMEA and methodical problem resolution.
  • Effective communication skills, able to work effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
