Brakes Test Vehicle Technician - 35164 - up to £19.51/hr - Chassis Engineering

Location - Gaydon

Single day shift (7:00am - 15:30pm)

A Brakes Test Technician (Dynamometer) is required, and will be responsible for installing test fixtures and test components into dynamometer.

Operate dynamometer running standard tests. With on job training the successful candidate would be able to run a test from start to finish unsupervised, including the following.

Responsible for single day shift (7:00am - 15:30pm) of the brakes dynamometer facility including organizing maintenance of the dyno and facility, pre and post test measurements. Organizing design and manufacture of rig fixtures, ensuring test parts are ordered and available for test After suitable training, writing scripts to run special applications on dynamometer, also modal testing of brake components using bespoke test machines. Responsible for storage/retrival of rigs, fixtures and test parts. Documentation and reporting of test results.

Skills Required:

  • Relevant test/rig experience, HNC/HND trained apprenticeship in engineering or Degree.
  • Good communication skills. Proficient in Excel. Organised.
  • Fundamental vehicle knowledge Hands on vehicle or test rig fitting experience.
  • Experience/knowledge of braking and suspension systems.

Experience Required: Relevant test/rig experience, HNC/HND trained apprenticeship in engineering or Degree qualified.
