We are seeking a BOM Coordinator to create and maintain complete vehicle Bill of Materials (BOM) parts list for a heavy vehicle manufacturer.
Liaise with the Project manager, engineering team, purchase agents and workshop team to obtain data to update the BOM
Produce excel reports tracking the cost and weight of the BOM as it is updated.
Use the BOM to produce a design release schedule under the direction of the project manager.
Track engineering changes and re-releases of design data.
Releases and engineering instructions.
Provide support in developing planning (time/cost) documentation and corresponding program status reporting. experience base.
Experience Areas - Microsoft Office especially Excel spreadsheets, (Knowledge accounting or purchasing software desirable) Working knowledge of Microsoft excel including logic functions, VLOOKUP, pivot tables and charts. Basic knowledge of macros desirable.
Experience of working with parts lists or accounts/purchasing databases. Customer Oriented (Internal and External) Problem solving skills & attention to detail. Proficient regarding organisational and time management skills with the ability to create detailed status reports, measurables and timelines.
Ability to learn new software or software features as required to carry out your role.
