Assistant Project Manager - Melksham

We have an extremely interesting role for an Assistant Project Manager, for a world leading sub-systems supplier to the Rail industry based at their facility in Melksham, to develop various project programmes, assist with managing customers and projects teams, and support to deliver the projects on time, to budget and to the desired quality.

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will:
* Manage specific projects issues as required
* Lead the planning and implementation of the project, develop planning capabilities
* Define project tasks and resource requirements, manage project resource allocation
* Manage team projects costs in line with the approved budget
* Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
* Assist in managing the projects change control process
* Constantly monitor and report on progress to all stakeholders (internal and external)
* Manage calibration and tooling
* Control and organise the logistics for project material, consumables and tooling

Professional experience and qualifications:

  • HND or HNC qualified in engineering or technical would be preferable
  • Experience and knowledge of commercial contracts
  • Experience in a rail project environment desired
  • Awareness of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques



Benefits:

  • Salary - £30,000 to £40,000 negotiable dependent upon experience
