Can you offer experience in a high-volume Tier 1 / 2 automotive manufacturing environment and a detailed knowledge of IATF16949 / ISO 9001 legislation?
The APQP E ngineer will be responsible for development phase documentation and for keeping it updated in the serial phase, ensuring a smooth hand over to production to ensure adherence to Manufacturing KPIs. You will be working for a leading manufacturer of flexible printed circuit connectors, flat foil & cable connectors, electrical busbar & wire elements for automotive heating and lighting applications.
Key responsibilities for this APQP Engineer role will include;
Document control and new model introduction
Audit and non-conforming products
Control plan, flow chart, FMES, SPC, MSA, IMDS and test definitions
Planning external tests
Leading the relevant APQP items within the project team
8D principles for development phase investigation
Consultation re audit results and corrective actions
Training and keeping up to date with quality principles
A leadership approach and day to day man-management and teamwork ethos across cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A strong problem solver and quick decision maker with a keen eye for detail
An Engineering Degree of HND qualification is desired, as is a knowledge of Six Sigma, proven experience in a high volume manufacturing and competence in Microsoft Office.
