An Airline Sales Manager with experience of providing support to a manufacturing organisation is required on a permanent basis, to be based in Gloucester. The role is paying a competitive annual salary DOE, for the following skills and responsibilities;

  • Manage the component intake forecast for the designated sales territory and for the region providing accurate and timely updates detailing any changes
  • Develop and present business cases to gain approval to pursue major contracts and/or new product/market opportunities
  • Seek and identify opportunities in new products/new markets
  • Conduct contract review for all major component contracts negotiated with the site that will perform the work
  • Represent at industry conferences and trade shows
  • Manage the customer relationship with major key accounts
  • Propose, develop and maintain a business development plan identifying and targeting growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain capture plans for key business opportunities and ensure that plans are implemented to secure business within agreed time scales
  • Support receivables team in the collection of ageing and/or problem invoices
  • Responsible for meeting sales targets, account management, quoting, contract negotiation and penetrating new markets
  • Identify sales opportunities and transform them into profitable commercial transactions
  • Build close relationships with customer and maintain direct contacts with key customers


The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally have aerospace or an aviation background
  • A technical background/exposure an advantage
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Have strong negotiations Skills
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to drive multiple projects concurrently
  • Be able to travel at short notice
