Job Title: Aftertreatment Emissions Lead Engineer SME
Salary: £36,500 - £51,500
This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Using state-of-the-art facilities, you'll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.
As Lead Engineer you'll manager the Emissions Aftertreatment team, who are responsible for the specification, development and delivery of cost effective emissions aftertreatment systems. Together with your team you'll enable vehicles to meet the ever tightening legislative tailpipe emissions standards.
Supporting the development of emissions aftertreatment systems, you'll also work cross functionally with other teams to deliver these systems through testing, project, and supplier management. You'll also be responsible for development and use of CAE tools ("Axisuite") to quality and time. Finally, you'll support on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across all future powertrain application programmes.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You'll need previous experience in the development of emissions aftertreatment components, systems, or CAE tools. In addition to this you'll also possess knowledge and experience of emissions aftertreatment component and system functions. With experience of powertrain system development and testing, you'll also need experience of emissions and OBD requirements and testing (engine test-bed and vehicle).
Communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills will be beneficial, and knowledge failure mode avoidance tools and techniques is also desired.
